The Associate Media Content Specialist (Contract) on the APAC team will report to the Head of Communications & Channels, APAC. You will manage a variety of operational tasks that ensure our esports and games are successfully published in the region. This covers social and web content operations in collaboration with global teams, regional teams, tournament operators and external agencies to ensure timely content trafficking on respective owned platforms across APAC markets.

You must be highly organized with the ability to juggle multiple projects and stakeholders at once. You will be required to carefully track content timelines to ensure the components necessary to ensure our games and surrounding content reaches players at the right time, and coordinate requirements across both internal teams and external parties.

The position is based in the Singapore hub. Here, you’ll join a team of internationally and culturally diverse professionals that share our obsession with player experience. The Singapore hub team oversees the APAC region: Singapore, Thailand, Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam, Taiwan, Japan and India/South Asia.

Please note that Riot Games does not offer relocation packages for this position. You need to be able to work legally in Singapore, without Riot Games’ sponsorship, to be considered.

Responsibilities:

As Associate Media Specialist, you’ll contribute to the following areas:

  • Handle publishing operations processes and execution for esports and games in APAC, which includes our self-published territories, as well as those handled by external publishing partners. 
  • Manage the housekeeping and operational needs of all active social and web platforms for Riot Games in APAC.
  • Collaborate with tournament organizers, partners and external agencies to ensure trafficking of content during live broadcasts for esports in APAC.
  • Communicate proactively, clearly and consistently to ensure transparency and alignment throughout the content publishing cycle, keeping a wide variety of stakeholders consulted and informed on emergent issues or changes.
  • Contribute to the development of social media content, supporting tasks such as copy editing to ensure a high quality bar of content to excite players and fans.
  • Identify and implement improvements for our publishing workflow, content management, and how we work with stakeholders.

Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years experience in social media content or community management.
  • Eye for QA, spotting, and tackling errors quickly.
  • Experience in cross-team communication and working with external vendors.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities during high-pressure situations.
  • Experience with reviewing social assets and vetting English social media copy.
  • Experience handling confidential information and documents.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms such as YouTube, TikTok, Twitch, Facebook, Instagram, Discord.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience working with teams on different time zones.
  • Experience/understanding of APAC, including command of a relevant language, would be a bonus, but not required.
  • Experience working with web content and Content Management Systems.
  • Passion for Riot’s titles and esports is a major plus.
