With studios located in Los Angeles and Vancouver, Ripple Effect has been dedicated to the Battlefield franchise since our founding as DICE LA in 2013. We created Battlefield 2042’s Portal, and have supported DICE on every Battlefield game since Battlefield 4.
Now, we’re looking for new team members to help us craft the next Battlefield.
As the Concept Artist Intern, you will create logos, illustrated graphics, moodboards, sketches, main art, campaigns and other elements for visual identities that reach a global audience. You will shadow multiple franchise creative leads, learning things like design process.
What you’ll do:
- Create imagery for a variety of subject matter, designing concepts across environments, characters, props, and/or vehicles
- You will learn a variety of approaches to solving design challenges
- Collaborate with various teams to gain a broad exposure to the role of concept artist within our production process
What we are looking for:
- You are currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s Degree granting program in a related field
- Good eye for composition, color, and attention to detail
- You have a passion for FPS games
- You have baseline understanding of Photoshop and 3D modeling software
- Creativity in problem-solving and a positive, respectful team-first attitude
- Able to take feedback and critique to iterate on work to completion
You must be available for a full-time paid internship in the summer of 2025. We are only considering students who will be enrolled in an accredited degree program in the summer of 2025, slated to graduate no earlier than December 2025. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in Canada on a full-time basis during the 16-week internship. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
The base salary ranges listed below are for the defined geographic market pay zones in these states. If you reside outside of these locations, a recruiter will advise on the base salary range and benefits for your specific location.
EA has listed the hourly pay ranges it in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in the locations listed, as of the time of this posting. Salary offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, degree type (e.g. Bachelor’s, Master’s, PhD), what stage you are in your degree journey (i.e. freshman, sophomore, etc.), qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs.
HOURLY PAY RANGES
• British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria):
º $29 - $31 CAN Hourly
The hourly pay is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. We also offer a package of benefits including 80 hours per year of sick time (prorated based on scheduled hours per week if less than full-time), 16 paid company holidays per year, medical insurance, and 401(k). Interns in California are also eligible for Voluntary Disability Insurance.
