SILICON DESIGN ENGINEER
THE ROLE:
As a member of the Circuit Technologies Group, you will help bring to life cutting-edge designs. As a member of the RTL design team, you will work closely with the architecture, analog, verification and DFT teams to achieve first pass silicon success.
THE PERSON:
A successful candidate will work with senior silicon design engineers. The candidate will be highly accurate and detail-oriented, possessing good communication and problem-solving skills.
KEY RESPONSIBLITIES:
- Verification plan development: test case definition, coverage goals and assertion requirements
- Testbench development: testbench architecture development for new design configurations, automation, and simulation efficiency
- Ensure verification deliverables are aligned with design expectations at each milestone
- Triage of nightly regression results and assignment to relevant design owner
- Tracking of overall program coverage and regression results
- Ensure overall design coverage metrics are met across all functional teams
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- UVM and assertion knowledge and understanding
- Experience with VCS simulation tool, Perl/Shell/Python scripting, and SystemVerilog RTL design
- Experience working in an ASIC design flow and collaborating across various functional teams (RTL, Analog, DV, DFT, Architecture)
- Understanding of Design for Test methodologies and DFT verification experience a plus (eg. IEEE1500, JTAG 1149.x, Scan, memory BIST etc.)
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer engineering/Electrical Engineering
